Welcome to my Journey

Hi, I'm Laura.

If you've ever forgotten what day it is, lived out of your SUV during sports season, searched for matching socks five minutes before leaving the house, or whispered, "Lord, just help me make it through today," then I'm so glad you're here.

I'm a wife, mom of five, youth leader, and the creator of Selah Moments Studio.

Most days, you'll find me running between basketball games, soccer fields, dance practices, church events, work, and everything else that comes with raising a family. My life isn't color-coded or perfectly organized. It's loud, busy, and beautifully messy.

For years, I searched for the perfect planner. I bought three or four every single year, in hopes of finding the perfect one. None of them had enough space for my big handwriting or my schedule, my Bible study notes, prayers, and all the random thoughts that seem to pop into my head. I got tired of carrying multiple notebooks everywhere I went. I wanted one place where I could keep my life organized while keeping my heart focused on God that didn't make me feel like I was simply checking off another box on a religious checklist.

That's when I realized I didn't need another planner or another way to organize my hectic schedule. I needed something different. I needed a reminder to pause, reflect, and remember that God is still in control even when my calendar isn't.

That's why I created Selah Moments Studio.

The word Selah appears throughout the book of Psalms. While the exact meaning is still unclear, it's often understood as a pause.

As I read the Psalms, I noticed something beautiful. David often pours out his fears, frustrations, and questions before God. Then comes Selah. After that pause, his perspective begins to change. His circumstances haven't changed, but his focus has. He remembers God's faithfulness. He remembers God's promises. He remembers that God is still in control.

That's what Selah has come to mean to me: a moment to stop, reflect, and give it to God.

I pray this planner becomes that for you.

A reminder to Pause, Reflect, and give it to God.

My life is not perfectly put together, and yours is probably not either. Life doesn't magically become less busy. The practices, appointments, laundry, and responsibilities are still there. But when we intentionally pause and turn our hearts toward God, our perspective can change. We remember that we don't have to carry everything on our own because God is already carrying us.

Thank you for being here and for supporting this dream. Whether you're ordering your first planner or simply following along on this journey, I'm grateful you're part of the Selah Moments community.

So here's your reminder today:

Pause. Reflect. Give it to God.
